Apply for this Target Field Trip Grant between August 1 and noon CST September 30. Through its Field Trip Grants program, Target awards grants of up to $700 to K-12 schools nationwide to defray the cost of field trips. Grants are restricted to K-12 educational institutions with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Visit the Target website for complete program guidelines and application instructions. BRIGHT IDEAS GRANT - Early Bird due by AUGUST 14th! Teachers: Being a Bright Ideas Early Bird could win you $100 The ‘early bird’ gets the worm… and a chance at $100! Teachers who get their NC Bright Ideas grant applications in by theAugust 14 early bird deadline will be entered for a chance to win one of five $100 Visa gift cards. Carteret-Craven Electric Co-op (CCEC) and other North Carolina’s electric cooperatives are accepting grant applications to fund creative, classroom-based learning projects for the 2015-16 school year. The final deadline is Sept. 18. Teachers can apply for Bright Ideas grants of up to $1,000, which is part of $600,000 in Bright Ideas funding that will be awarded to teachers statewide during the 2015-2016 school year. Classroom teachers at qualifying schools in Carteret and Craven counties can apply for grants. The application, grant-writing tips and more information about the Bright Ideas education grant program can be found at www.ncbrightideas.com. A total of five $100 Visa gift cards will also be awarded in late August to teachers who submitted their applications before the Aug. 14 ‘early bird’ deadline. The Harold H. Bate Foundation has generously awarded Partners In Education a grant for $30,000 to be used as “The Harold H. Bate Foundation School Grant Program.” Please do not apply to The Bate Foundation. The Foundation elected to distribute $30,000 to Craven County Schools through this grant program (through PIE) with a committee of representatives from each organization determining the winners. All public schools under Craven County Schools are eligible and encouraged to apply. As a principal, how do you apply? Grants must be submitted directly to Partners In Education. Teachers: The more detail you provide regarding your activity and how you will use the supplies, the easier it is for the committee to evaluate your request. In contrast to PIE Grants, requests for consumables are allowed. Grant requests that include school name will not be considered. In terms of technology, all items should be on the preferred district list (for service and conformity). For a list of those items, please follow this link.
